to be honest, i haven't decided what the drinking laws will be on iBeale. I'm pretty liberal, and don't really mind letting the younger folks drink. we might have to let iChief Robi set the drinking age...
...although i would motion to have it at 18 if we are going to have one at all.
iChief Robi...you are awesome. I agree with you on the age limit beginning at 21 and not 18. Since we are iMemphis, I wouldn't mind if if was raised to 25, but I know that would bring about a whole lot of opposition from some folks.
here's my take on drinking "limits": I'm all about responsible drinking. I know some 13 year old folks that are very responsible and mature who i would allow to drink, and on the other side i know some 30, 40, 70 year olds who don't understand the concept.
you've gotta know your personal limits, not have it told to you by an "authority". and its always nice to have those around you who can help you stay within your limits.
But again....that's just my way of looking at it...i know that other citizens may have a different view.
Speaking on a personal note, I'd rather the world be dry. I do understand it's Beale Street though and if it's dry there'd be no point now would there?

On a side note, I was lucky and grandfathered in when I hit 18 in Florida... I wish I hadn't have been.

It is a state law. Or do we want to live in iTennessee, where we can make the law whatever we want there too?
